Good Places To Eat

Both these place provide a low cost meal in a intresting setting. Service could be better but they are about the best in the area. Down side it is a long ride to get there.

Thanks Smitty, I think it would be a no from me...I for one would not complain about the service or the food, could end up with your ride all shot full of holes (rider optional) and getting out to this vacation spot while avoiding IUD's or "unfriendlies" could be reason enough not to go! JMHO!

That made me hungry now!:bigsmiley17:
Man, I never saw a Quad-Patty Burger before...gotta go there next time I see my older daughter in AZ! :reyes

On a healthier note :32: WoodRanch -- http://www.woodranch.com/restaurant_entry.html has the best Tri-Tip in Camarillo, CA... yeah it's a franchise, but it is good.

The Rockstore in Cornell is a favorite Biker Hangout w/ the likes of Jay Leno and other well known Hollywood types frequent -- http://www.rock-store.com/

Another SoCal favorite Neptunes Net on HWY 1 aka PCH Pacific Coast Hwy -- http://www.neptunesnet.com/

In my ol' home town in Petaluma, a tiny place called DeSchmire on Bodega Avenue -- http://www.disaza.com/deschmire/ has Rack of Lamb w/crust and Garlic Mashed Potatos to die for, kinda expensive, but with hot sourdough french bread and glass of wine makes the trip worth it...:bigsmiley24:

There's also a place called Cattleman's -- http://www.cattlemensrestaurants.com/index.htm that has a Porterhouse that "Fills the Plate"

and a place called the Washoe House -- http://www.sonomauncorked.com/wine-country-food/restaurants/washoe-house/ supposedly the oldest roadhouse in the Golden State...also worth the trip with good eats! :cheers

Oskaloosa, Ks. I think there is only one real place to eat.
It is good and the people friendly.
Then you can go see the largest tree standing in Kansas. STUMP now.

I can't think of the place across from Leavenworth Pen either.

Cow Camp Steakhouse near Decatur, TX. Little "hole-in-the-wall log cabin just north of town. Serves up one of the best steaks I've had.

Babe's in Roanoke, Sanger, and Burleson, TX. Awesome chicken-fried steak and fried chicken. Served family style with salad, mash potatoes, green beans, gravey, and rolls.

Frilly's Cajun Grill in Decatur and Denton, TX. One of the best Cajun and Creole restaurants west of Louisiana.

The Gaff in Port Aransas, TX. Very small dive of a bar, but has great pizza and cold beer. Also has a great jukebox, and 2 dart boards.
