Hello from Texas and Plz Help

You could replace the pet cock with an after market one, but you would need to turn it off at every stop more than 5-10 minutes. Reason being if the float sticks fuel will flow out the carb and down into the motor, not good. Also you would still need to hook up the vacuum line from the carb to the VOES, if your bike has one. In looking at the parts diagram the Vacuum line seems to have 3 ends. Fuel valves aftermarket $20-$200.OEM at about $28.

Thanks Tourbox and everyone for all the help. I finally went for my first short ride on her...Just around the block until I get new tires and a belt. I changed controls, vacuum slide and have a mechanical pet cock now but have fuel coming out the over flow sometimes.....I'm gonna check the float again..also is the oil tank supposed to be so hot? I new it gets hot but wow!
