Some wheels have the 'stem' coming out the side. Mine does (2001 Heritage) and I have to use the straight stem -- but it is easy access with air gauge due to coming out the side of the wheel.

I read the description and it says that it plugs into the battery charging harness. Is that another way of saying the cig lighter. Or is there actually a location that you have to dig for to plug it in.

My guess is it's the battery tender plug.
