True Duals (The aftermath)

+1 on Glider's suggestion.

I did both and it is a tremendous difference!
I first changed to Spectro and that completely ended the whine in 5th and it shifted as smooth as butter. (Still clunks into gear, but it seems to just drop in smoothly. I know that may sound strange, but I think they all "clunk" a little when shifting.)

Later I installed the IDS and the power transfer is SOOOO much smoother. Even lugging the engine. Those rubber bumpers really make a difference. The sound of "shaking a coffee can of marbles" is gone...
 
Bud is right.....you'll never feel the difference. Actually, true duals move the "power curve" more to the mid-upper RPM range and with the right cam that can be a bonus. Hearing that left pipe breath was great and I never noticed a power decrease w/ my true duals.

Different strokes for different folks.....I didn't want V/H monster ovals or rineharts because everyone else has them already.
