Couple of thoughts as I did this on my FLHTCUCSE3. There are spacers for the front if you add a passenger detachable back rest, which I did. Also those of us with the UC have the amp under the tour pac which really becomes a mess as it has to be hooked up to work the radio. So the "Qick Detach" part goes away given you have to mess with the amp and its' hookups. Most folks put it in the right rear saddle bag.
