And for the record, Midgie's love me!!! I cannot say that feeling returned from me to them.

The best way I can describe a Midgie to someone who has not seen one is what we refer to as 'knats' or 'no see 'ums'

Spring is the "noseeums" season on the gulf coast. There is however a fairly new spray that knocks them out. It's an Almond scented oil that smells good and really works. Got it at a local golf course pro shop called "no seeums" spray. Glad someone came up with this formulation because those critters are a scourge.

But not mosquitoes at all. If I was going to sum it up in American descriptions, I would say more like no see 'ums that bite. Very annoying little buggers.

With February leaving me with 30 plus inches of snow, and having 2 labradors combined with the last few days of above freezing temperatures.
I now enter the truffle season.
And although it wasn't planned.
Mixing carrots with their food sure makes them colorful.

Woke up this morning to a fresh layer of St Patrick's Day snow!!! It could have at least been green!!
