Tach on fxst??

Haven't had a chance to try it yet. Got busy at work putting in 12 + hrs a day. But will update when I do.
 
Well I tried my tach on thye bike. Didn't get it to work. Think the tach is busted. Guess I'll just have to save some $$ and buy a proper one.:(
 
Anybody know if a tach from a 98 Sportster will work on a 07 fxst?? Seen one on craigslist for a good price.
