Spark plugs for 1340 shovel?

I always used Autolite #65(before #4265 was available), then Bosch #WR8DC4(according to the chart the same for yours) gapped at .035". Not much electrical output on those old shovels, hence the "small" gap. I was told that the rear cylinder runs hotter (all things being equal), so if anything the front cylinder would always have a darker sparkplug and I found that to be true. Sounds like you have ring blowby if the top end has been gone over(or if the guy forgot to put valve stem seals in...wouldn't be the first time I've seen that).
