A couple dabs of grease will hold the gasket in place also.

Local hardware store has small all-thread studs that you can use as guide pins...look for the little boxes of hard to find items in the nuts and bolts hardware section. They also carry them in Stainless and Chrome for you guys who like the good looking stuff at reasonable prices (not the 5 or 8 star high torque stuff though). :s
