Is the '06 6 speed different? I've not noticed any of the above problems. No unusual noises in any gear, no problems with 6th gear above 60mph.. maybe a little lugging below that which I would expect at that rpm. ??
The salesman was right. The noise seems to go away, about the same time as the stock mufflers come off. But seriously, about 22 oz. of 75/90 synthetic gear oil will help any HD trannie shift better, run cooler and quiter.
