Just added the hard mounted bags and relocated turn signals. The first mod was the Rush slip-ons.

Those bags are H-D hard mount. Similar to mine. However, they can be made detatchable, with very little effort or expense.

They're Harley Davidson bags #90564-06B and they are hard mounted. I think they look better on the bike than in the Harley catalog. I bought them from Chicago Harley over the internet because they discount the catalog prices but my local dealer doesn't.
Catalog price $409.95
Chicago Harley $327.96
It also requires the turn signal relocation kit, $59.96 from Chicago Harley.

I probably sound like a salesman for Chicago Harley but I'm just happy with the deal and they were easy to work with. The bags came without installation instructions, I called them and they immediately emailed them to me. Good service.

If the tach question was addressed to me, it's not a tach. The speedometer on the 09 FXD is mounted to the handlebar. The smaller dohicky on the handlebar is a clock.

This is my 09 FXDC just brought home from the dealer May 16th, still not used to it as My Sporty was smaller.....Haaaaaa! so far I enjoy the bike if only the weather would let me ride more.
