Thanks all. I check the bike every day and the tar are just small specks, but wanted to stay ahead of the game before it got worse. :s

In time you will find that constant cleaning is taking away from your ride time. Once the newness wears off, all you will want to do is to add up the miles of memories....:rider

+1 on WD, it may help to warm it up a little. If it's boot goo, you could also try oven cleaner sprayed in something like a solo cup and then rubbed on with a cloth when the mufflers are warm, let it work for awhile and rub it off.

Very nice bike!
Does anyone have an opinion on Capt. Richard's (BOM) products?

That's a beautiful bike, bro

HI all,

I thought it was time to share a picture of my new ride. My first Harley ever. Also while I'm here can someone tell me a good way to take tar off of my mufflers. Thanks

Bob

You can use quad-0 steel wool on your chrome with no ill affect. Dipping it in some mineral spirits or gasoline will help with petroleum grime like road tar.

Don't use the steel wool on any painted, powder coat, or plastic parts though. Just chromed metal parts.

Cheers,

TQ
