Opinions on correct "tip" to local wrench and indy owner

If I have time to kill, I'll take my Indy pop or even lunch, sorta pay it forward ! He's the first person I ever rode with(1976). The bad news is he doesn't do harley and I switched over, I still stop in just the same. the local HD Indy doesn't do metric and won't even sell a tire to one while advertising lowest dunlop prices, he won't see me.
I like books and tools and no one treats my bike like my bike.

personally i wont tip with cash, however i would buy a gift certificate for a restaurant and tell him to take his wife (gf) out on me. seems to work very well they appreciate it because you have included the wife (gf) JMO
