My winter upgrades, what's your's?

Going Stage 1 with the TFI. The only problem will be, I can't ride it in the snow. I'm not to sure I want to try changing until I can get it out and ride it.

If HD (Milwaukee) ever sends my gas tank, I'm replacing my little peanut tank with a 4.5 gal custom tank, also changing the seat, pegs, grips and adding forward controls. The tank was ordered 9/13with a 4-5 week lead time.I dropped my XL883L off at the dealers 10/22 before I went on vacation so the work could be done while I was away. AS of today the tank still hasn't left the "paint shop" in Milwaukee. I told my mechanic to be sure to put Stabile in the tank and put the battery on a tender and I'll see him in the spring. LOL:newsmile100:

Tank repaint (close encounter with fresh tar/gravel) with ghost HD logo: Done.

Relocate front turn sigs & flip the mirrors: In progress.

I'd like to get a side car for the 07 rk classic to take my grand son with us, he's two and already a motor head! But I'm discouraged by the thought of having to pay a thousand bucks more than a new 883 for one wheel and a fiberglass bath tub. I haven't had any luck find a used one, so I was thinking maybe your done with yours scrinch?

got some of mine :D
nice new bike lift capabale of lifting the ultra
just got save the pounds to get me the 103 stg II for Dyna :D

Hobbit if you don't mine me asking. I just bought a lift for my Dyna. Have you used it yet and if so, did you get it on the hoist by yourself? Naturally with a jiffy stand, you can't get the bike straight up. How do you centralize the bike to get the hoist in the right position. Or do you have to have two people? With my FatBob, I've got about 1/2 inch clearance with hoist is at it's lowest position. Appreciate any tricks you know.

1st up you will need a set of Dyna adapters from HD as the Dynas have a section that sits lower on the frame towards the rear.
i put my Ultra on the lift with one person me :D
push the lift as far under as it will go - carefully
then move the bike over off the jiffy and until the lift goes under then slowly start to pump the lift and the bike will balance itselft nicely on the lift.
Once on with its wheels still in contact with the ground STRAP it to the lift then slowly start to lift if its unbalanced front to rear lower enough to adjust and then carry on.
Its a matter of finding what works for you if you have a 2nd person then use them its easier - my wife can barely stand let alone move the lift or a 800lb bike, so i learnt to do everything one handed

You don't have to worry about it looking unstable on the lift DON'T strap it down just lift it ,honest it won't fall down.It took a friend a long time to convince me of this. Now I lift it ,it does it's little shake and wobble, stabalizes, and it's fine.Scares me every time!My friend is a detailer who specialises in Harleys so I do trust him. He hasn't dropped one yet!
