I had almost the same problem. Went to the dealer with a fat boy in mind the friendly salesman said thats fine but look here a an EG. So I bought the EG a first for a windshield or a faring:41:. Replaced the stock wight a short shield and still have the wind in my face sort of, but have fell in love with the faring.
