Missing carb part????

I'm still questioning your explanation about "when i manually actuate the float mechanism up and down the "pin" on the needle compresses FIRST and then the needle seats"

You do have the clip on the needle shaped like a "C" don't you where it should hook to the float? It sounds like that is entirely on one side of the float hinge and not hooked around it.

Your needle looks like this one and has the "C" clip on the left end?

Perhaps at some stage the float needle has been replaced by the wrong needle as it should be a fairly good fit into the housing and seat before the plunger compresses

Its in the center.

And the float level height is 18.5 mm from the 'bottom" of the float to the mounting base.(round floats)

upon assembly and disassembly-now-the needle is seating first and THEN the "pin" is compressed.I would laugh but its far become a laughing matter. The seat area and needle are CLEAN..i simply cant understand this.
