IPOD question

If you start with mp3's, you need to "normalize" the volume so that all tracks have similar "loudness". You can use free software to do this. I use mp3trim found at mptrim.com .

Some software used for burning includes the "normalize" function. The function isn't perfect, but gets you much closer to what you want to do.

Breeze, glad I could help...:) The songs you have at 256kbps are supposed to be better quality than the 128kbps, although some folks actually debate that fact. I would just leave them as is. Sounds like you're good to go...:bigsmiley12:

My son-in-law has an 07 Ultra and his radio will play mp3 format cd's. If you burn your cd's in mp3 format you can record a bunch on one cd. I have put 157 songs on one cd. that will play for a long time. As for your IPOD. You will have to set the recording settings in ITunes. Volume leveling works somewhat.
Daughter and in-law really like having mp3 cd's. figure 3 min's per song and you get hours of music without having to change anything.
