Hogsnot Oil?

No matter how I add it up, I can't get much over about $70-$75 for a complete service (3 holes) for all the oils and filter using Mobil oils.

I wouldn't skimp on the oils in anything I own, it's like checking the yellow pages for a heart specialist that doesn't charge much.

Within reason, you usually get what you pay for even thou the oil is overpriced.

Glider,

Do you use the same Mobil oil in the crank case, primary and the transmission?
So far I've used HD Synthetic in my bikes.

HD syn is a blend rather than a synthetic at the cost of a synthetic.

I use the Mobil 1 V Twin in the engine, Spectro platinum in the trans and the HD Formula+ in the primary.

Getting back to cost cutting, which I am not interressted in for my bike,(car gets changed every yearish so it doesnt matter)because it is the realisation of my dream,I had to pay a total of $110.11 inclusive shipping for my REDLINE oils. Not totally happy with the price, but my bike is.
out of interest, how much are you all willing /paying for your loves life blood???

Ya'll correct me if I am wrong. I read about the oil on their website and it said the oil was blended...not unlike Syn 3. Is it a true syn oil or a blended? My feeble eyesight may have missed something:)

Looks like your feeble eye sight caught it. Looks to be about the same as Syn 3.

From the site...

"We have gone to great lengths to come up with custom blended oils that minimize the heat and friction that your motor generates."

HogSnot Performance Motorcycle Engine only 20w-50 oil contains friction modifiers that help maximize power and reduce wear. Some Motorcycle motor oils meet JASO MA standards for a high coefficient of friction. HogSnot does not! We know that friction is bad for the performance and life cycle of your engine. This MA rating used to be reserved for transmissions and wet clutches.

I havnt seen anything that its claiming to be a syn blend or any thing, they are calling it a dino.

Not dising the company but looking at their comparison charts their oil rates as good or slightly better on the charts as full synthetic. Perhaps time will tell, but right now I kinda have a hard time getting my head around dino rating as good as full syn.

yea i kinda know what you mean but at the same time it is very interesting about the proper friction part for the wet clutch and the engine not needing that part, it kinda makes sense.

If anyone is interested or just curious like I was I used their contact page and asked these questions....................

1.) Where are you located?
2.) It's not clear to me is this a synthetic,semi-synthetic or dino oil?
3.) How long have you been in the business?
4.) How much is shipping?
5.) Is buying online the only option?

I didnt think of asking any questions, Glad you did though. Sounds like this company might be on the up and up. Amsoil and spectro both started out some how the same way and now there well respected and known all over the country.( Im not a spokesman ) Dont get me wrong here just keeping an open mind.

Well I just read something else thats interesting. On a muscle car forum I stumbled on some guys that were talking about this hogsnot stuff and they are claiming that Amsoil is making the hogsnot and will soon be selling it as there own dino! Whats going on here?
