front brake sticking

I am riding a FLHXI 2006 and it has Dot 4

"05 was the first year that went back to DOT 4 other than the cop bikes which was changed earlier if I remember correctly.

It had dot 4 but the dealer recommended 5?

If thats the case the dealer should be responsible for cleaning(flush and clean with denatured alcohol) at least or replacing the entire braking system, mixing dot4 &5 can cause brake failure. Don't want to alarm you but it shouldn't be taken lightly.
