Friction Zone

How far is the clutch lever from the hand grip before the load gets put on the engine? 1/2 inch, 1 inch?
Hydraulic clutch may be why it feels different as well as a different make of bike.
What is the mileage on the bike? I have close to 17,000 on mine and it did feel different from the 2013 LTD I had before.
Do you have a friend with a similar bike to see if they a a similar feel?
I don't think they had hydraulic on that year. But that would explain it.They are more like an on/off switch than a clutch with any throw.

Recheck your tire pressure just to be sure they aren't causing the drag.
36 front and 40 rear.
Also is it a cable or hydraulic system?

Its a cable clutch, the cable looks fine, there isn't any excessive play in the lever, and I checked the tire pressure yesterday and they are good. I'm going to take it in tomorrow and get it looked at. I will let you guys know what they find.
