As Jack directed on link, screweylouie posted about barkeepers friend, it works great for removing corrosion from aluminum wheels, keep in mind you may want to polish or seal them after. I have been using a marble/granite sealer with teflon, just have to wipe then down now to get them all bright.
getting most of the corrosion wasn't too bad, but I agree that some kind of polish needs to be applied. the barkeepers friend does leave a haze that is hard to remove.
