Evo engine serial numbers What year is the engine?

I have the same problem,I cant identify the year and model,cases are marked
*OJLUxxxxxx*

I see no "O" identifiers. Could it be a "D"? D is an identifier for late 80's FL models, and there are DJL sequence numbers. Is the engine # different than the frame #?

I think it is a D and a V not an U,the company who sold me the cases put a wrong letters in bill of sale.
Looks like *DJLVxxxxxx* ,so it is a 1997 ?
And it is corect for Harley Davidson cases?

Yes, DJLV would be correct numbers for a '97 FLH.
