Destinations 2010

We have a smokey mountain run in the works. Time will be the deciding factor as to how much road we attack. Personally, all I want is a fun ride with some amazing scenery!!

sharpscuba: Thanks for the reply. Is this a favorite ride only if in your area, or one that you would recommend make as a destination for a ride from the beginning? Never been to Wisconsin but have heard the UP is great.

Riding up this mighty Mis. is a awesome ride. Granted they are not mountains but the hills and bluffs are awesome. Nice roads, beautiful scenery, the people are great and treat you right. Wisconsin is a very beautiful state and we are blessed with many state and federal forests. Deer can be trouble at times. There are places to stay from remote campsites to Casino resorts. Llike I said Summerfest is the worlds largest music festible and last but not least The home of Harley Davidson. What more needs to be said. Personally I enjoy riding just about everywhere in the state. I do tend to stay out side of the cities though.

I did a Google on Summerfest in Michigan, come up with more than one. When and where are you reffering to? Thanks Scuba.

We have two trips on the board...Nova Scotia and Out West. Been out West before but never to NS. Thinking of doing both and working on the time frames with our working friends...When you are retired there is no clock!

Mine in going to the West Coast in May from here in Ohio. Haven't nailed the route down yet, but can't wait to start.

Going from NJ over to Skyline Drive and down the Blue Ridge Parkway. From there meeting a buddy in Nashville and head a bit south along Natchez Trace. After that we heat to Santa Fe, NM to meet up with some other friends from Vegas. Head north to Durango, over the Million Dollar Highway (have done this before and it is great) through Silverton and Ouray and make our way up towards Denver. From there the guys from Vegas head west and me and my other friend will head back east. The only thing that will be missing from this trip is my wife.

Wife and I are doing the "Going to the sun" run this summer we will take another trip just don't know where yet.

We have done the Blue Ridge, up to Bar Harbor down to Galveston, out Route 66, the Natchez Trace,

One we had fun with that is not really that long is the burbon trail. We did all 8 distillaries in 4 days. Had a great time. Of course, any time out in the wind is good.

Wife and I are taking two week trip.

Going to take the Dragon, Blue Ridge and work our way to Washington DC for a couple days. From there run up thru Pennsylvania/Upstate New York to Niagara and back thru Ohio.

Make stops at Rock and Roll HOF and the NFL HOF.

Looking forward to this.

Is the million dollar hwy the one shown on TV where the fuel truck guys have to be careful not to hit the shoulder or it's bye bye over the cliff? If yes, that sure looks like a great Bike ride. Is it in Colo.?
