My local dive shop sold a mask to a guy. Some years later the mask strap broke and he sued for "bodily injury." The insurance company actually settled for $4000.
Years ago there was a suit about some unlicensed person stealing a plane, crashing, and dying. The claim was the instrument panel should have been placarded saying that it should only be flown by properly trained and licensed pilots.
We're such a litigious society that we are all paying the price. In my view, we should just let Darwanism and natural selection of the gene pool fix the problem.
