Clutch troubles.

The lever has good resistance, if I adjust it by the book, I get nothing. I have to have almost all the way out. I athink I will start with the plates. Thanks everyone.

Why Not Just adjust it WHERE you said it doesn't slip and Forget about the position of the adjustment screw on the clutch-pac.. I doubt you need new clutch disc and only Think you do...

On my 09 FLHR,, The screw is OUT a long ways on 10,000 miles....
I simply Screw in together the cable adjustor and do the clutch-pac adjustment... touch FINGER TIGHT, 1/2 out and lock..... and then out screw the cable adjustor to the right clearance I want 1/16"

If your bike Works with the adjustment You Did stick with that..

Yea, I geuss I will leave well enough alone for now. It just alarmed me that the adjustment screw has to be that much farther out than the book recommends.
