Battery Problem

Went to start her yesterday to ride to the dealer to have the battery and charging system check out but she wouldn't start. There was enough power for the little red light to flash for the alarm but not enough for the starter motor.
Man with a van came and took her away. I'm going over there later today to see what's happening. The dealership say this happens a lot this time of the year with the cold etc. but surely not for a garaged bike on a battery tender?
Hopefully they'll use the unit Chopper described and I get a new battery.:)

SOUNDS like a RASH of BATTERY PROBLEMS in the air...

I have a friend that had a dead battery after about a month and a half leaving his bike on the tender...
When we talked he mentioned the problem was THE tender was set on 6 volt all this time,,,, HE thought it never to be set on 12 volt since it was hooked up...

I suggested he use his SMALL CHARGER to slowly charge the battery back up to FULL and THEN set the tender on 12 volt...

It charged and probably will work out fine for NOW... His bike is a street glide 2008.....

signed....BUBBIE
