Baker DD7 Tranny

So this 7 speed gear box is a direct bolt in swap without any machine work?
That 1st gear ratio sounds like the ticket. Do you now need a special drive belt that HD dealerships don't carry? What I like best is keeping the Harley sound (clank) because I would not want a quiet gear box. If I may ask, what was turn key cost.
Tks

Yes, direct swap. Same drive pulley, belt, etc. You use the same clutch release cover which is funky because it still says 6 speed with the Baker DD7 logo above. Oh well, the people in the know.....:) The overall sound of the tranny is quieter although the 5th gear whine is now in 2nd and 3rd because they are straight cut with 1,4,5,6 and 7 helical. The cost of the tranny was $2850.00 delivered and the labor was covered under extended warranty. Should be getting some pennies back for the faulty parts of the old tranny.
Hope this helps bro.
