Thanks for the info guys, I just ordered two of these,

It will be handy on PGR rides when sometimes you may have to put on your helmet in a hurry. Plus I won't have to wait so long for my wife to fumble with the D ring everytime we stop.

+2 on the metal clip. Here's my thoughts:

Pros:
Makes putting the helmet on very convenient.
Easier to fasten strap with gloves on than the D-rings.
Easy to remove helmet at end of ride.
No effect on comfort level.

Cons:
Design of the clasp can make it difficult to insert the male connector into the female half.
May be difficult to secure the tag end of the strap to keep it from flapping in the breeze without tightening the strap to an uncomfortable level.
Uncertainty of how it will hold up in a crash situation.

I've never used one on my bike helmet but I don't always wear it so I guess it doesn't matter much but I do use one on my snowmobile helmet and it works well...

Worse yet, she might take even longer fumbling with that blasted clasp!
Actually, she'd most likely master it a heck of a lot easier than I ever could!
