I removed the compensator cover assembly and noticed wear on the surface of the spring retainer plate( the one closet to the "ears"). I also noticed that the springs are loose. When I push the spring plates away from the bent "ears" there is about a 1/4 inch between the outer retainer plate and where the plate should contact the bent "ears". Is wear on the outer plate normal and should the spring plates be loose?
