Am I crazy? 2 up Touring on a Dyna

No your not. We own a 1998 FLSTS. We have been on trips of 2 weeks, 4000+ miles. I'm just stop for my wife to get a break as needed. Its amazing how light you can pack and still take everything you need.

I love it.. any bike trip is a good thing, its what memories are made of. 40 years ago we were doing road trips on 650 British bikes that broke down every day and were about as comfortable as sitting on a fence post. And we had a blast. Just remember to make lots of rest stops, your wife does not have much to do sitting there and will get a bit restless.

We had an 07'FXD,with sundowner,Hagon shocks, backrest, bags, this year we decided a New FLHR would do our 400 mile day-trips better with more comfort,so went on a test ride on an 11'Sedona Orange Road King, looked beautifull,we came back from the ride & we agreed,it fell like we where, not together nice & tight, like we think we should be on a Motorbike(we've been riding together for nearly 50yrs),so we're not young & petite, but the Dyna just feels like a proper Bike experience.
So we bought a new FatBob Sedona orange, looks beautifull,& we'll ride anywhere on it long as it's no more than 450miles a day.
Over the last few months we test rode BM's,Triumph,Wing,Victory, much prefer the Dyna to any of them,so enjoy your trip.

We live in the Great White North; crazy goes with the territory.:newsmile100: Motorcycles touring may be one of the sane things we do.

If the bike is comfortable to ride with a passenger, then have a great time.:small3d018::cheers

If not, I'm sure there's a bagger just waiting for you somewhere.:D

This is great.
Nice reassurance from an experienced group.
I think I've prepared the bike. I hope I've prepared the wife. And we plan on packing as light as we can.
As far as load goes. I weigh 200lbs and the wife is 120lbs (+10) haha. I will likely pack 25-30 lbs of stuff. What would our "load rating" be?
