1966 Shovelhead Exhaust Installation Problems

Thanks I'll look into bending the pipe downward to match the head pipe. You would expect not to have to do all this, but made in Taiwan. Wonder if Paughco would be a better choice in quality and fitment?
 
Bending is tricky because angles change. I might try fitting the head pipe ( with it out of the exh. port) into the squish pipe and see what some pressure will do. Very difficult for me to 'splain with my fingers.

If my bending and tweeking does not work out then will look into a system from Paughco, possibly the
1¾" ‘Close Fit’ Staggered Dual Exhaust Systems For 1966-1969 Swingarm Shovelheads. Just have to be careful about bending the squish pipe and not constrict the exhaust flow.
