Wrapping the exhaust?

I just bought some vance and Hines Slip ons for my nightster. What I can't deicde on is if it looks better with the chrome stock pipes and Vance and Hines mufflers. OR Wrap Black heat wrap around them down to the muffler, but leave the muffler chrome.

I dont want the black exhaust.. everybody has them (vance and hines I'm referring to)

How long would it take for the wrap to deteriorate the exhaust completely? :bigsmiley21:

Not such a good thing to wrap exhaust. The pipes operate at such a high temp that it is done for racing applications to keep the exhaust flow up. On street pipes, the metal fatigues from the excess heat and after a while will come apart like a shell from the excess heat that is kept in the pipes with the wrap. It also tends to hold moisture in which doesn't help either.
