where's my trans fluid?

If I were you, I'd take this up with MOCO. That explanation sounds ridiculous. Definitely time to find a new dealer. Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with this one.

BTW, did they give you this explanation and service receipt in writing?
 
of course i have a receipt but not THIS explanation. how many different straw can we grasp. and i ask that the thread be closed.
 
Could it be the seal between trans and primary. The fluid could have migrated over to the primary. It it is high when you open the derby cover, then that is probably it. And it would also explain the sticky clutch.

Sorry. The only connection between the tranny and the primary through which fluid could get from the tranny to the primary or vis-versa is the clutch pushrod. The tranny is not a pressurized oiling system, so there is no way that much fluid could transfer to the primary from the tranny.
