Vance and Hines exhaust bracket

I have an 01 fxd and I have the vance and hines shortshots on it. I hat to get a new mounting bracket because the original one broke. Now the new one has broken aswell. Has anyone else had this problem?
 
From what I have seen and read, you're not alone. Just make sure the pipe is aligned properly and not putting stress on the hanger.
 
Since it was a new bracket that I ordered would it be like a warrenty item or do i just have to cough up the 70 bucks that i think it cost when I bought the now broken one?
 
I called the dealer and they called V&H. They said they are gonna send me another bracket free of charge. They also said that it is a common problem after a bike has been down on the exhaust. They told me a possible solution was to realign the pipes when installing the new braket.
