Upgrade to a halogen headlight now the fuse blows any ideas?

Yes and as you know once you let the factory smoke out it no longer works.

I would not use a bigger fuze then what Harley used from the factory, that amperage fuze was used for a reason and you don't want to overload whatever is on that circuit. JMHO.

Like 76 Shovel said. Watts are watts. If the new one is supposed to draw the same as the old one and the new one is drawing enough to blow the fuse. Its either bad or misrepresented by the Chinese....

Just an update. Had a buddy whos a pretty good auto electrical tech check the bike out.no shorts no wiring issues. Said its the bulb.
Put in a new sylvania halogen alls good. Lesson is if its cheap there is a reason. lol Thanks all

I have a 1987 softail and how difficult is the upgrade to the halogen bulb?

I put in a 85/115 watt H4 headlight on my 93. It was as simple as changing the sealed beam light bulb out - next time will be even easier since I just have to change the H4 bulb. Talk to your local non-dealer parts guy - I think my conversion was only $45.00
