what was the first year for the softail to get the TC88 aka Fathead. I was looking at a horsepower test for a 99 softail and it had an EVO in it.

Hy Tigg. The twin cam 88 & 88b were available in the softails line up in 2000. They could be had in the 99 Dynas. 99 softails still had the EVO.
The Motor Co. did the same thing again in 2006 with the advent of the TC96, the Dynas got em one year before the softails. I guess the Dynas are their gennie pigs.
