True Duals how much Bottom end do you really lose

They sell a cover to cover that area at the dealer, full coverage (one piece), or Kuryakyn sells one for half that price.

I am going to install true duals on a heritage and was concerend about the low end also. Glad to hear it's not that bad. Has anyone used Freedom Performance exhaust? They have a nice set for softails.

With a properly written map (timing) you will have no loss on the V&H TD's.With Rineharts and the right map there's an across the board gain.

The tube between exhaust pipes was originally patened by Triumph Motorcycles long ago. They originally developed this for engine idle. It still works and is now called a balance pipe. An engine can always be tuned to what you want if you have the money. Fossil
