Transmission overhaul?

- Ok, so now that the temps are way down here in northern Europe, and my tranny and rear swingarm are sitting on my workbench - what else can I do than scan the 'net for useful (and not so -) info?
So, I came across Johnson Engineering that make TwistGear. This is a set-up where the countershaft (input) gear is swapped from the stock 22 to a 20 tooth gear. The interseting part is that this will make all geared gears - 1-4 or 1-5 (5 and 6 speed respectively) 10% shorter, while keeping the same ratio (direct driven) top gear. This would give increased accelleration while keeping the final gearing - very interesting. As they claim on their web-site, the standard 6-speed overdrive will make you lose the advantages with the direct driven top gear. Not sure how much you'd lose in real life though, altough I agree with the principles.
Anyone tired this set-up?
