transmission identification

I am working on a custom built bike with a harley softail trans. The trap door broke where the bearing for the mainshaft is located and it appears that the shaft moved to the left and broke a couple teeth off of the countershat 3rd gear. I dont know what year the trans is. There is a number that looks like a harley pn of 34707-93A. I believe there is a difference between the gears in a 91-95 trans and a 96 and later trans. Any way to identify by the appearence of the gears?

normally with hd part numbers the -93a would indicate the part first appeared in 93 and this would the first revision
however with my resources cant find the part number actually exists as a Harley part number so cant help any further sorry
