Trampin' The Back Roads......on my Tiger 90

For sure....as long as you remember the gearchange is on the right.....she runs along nicely..

I'd be stomping on the left a lot...lol, like after I drive a stick shift car and get back in my automatic, every time I'm slowing down my left foot is looking for that imaginary clutch pedal. :D

My youngest brother had a rs shift Sportster, it took a bit to get used to
How did that happen that it was a right shift I wonder..........be an odd one for a Harley.......would like to see the set-up for that............be a plumbers nightmare I would reckin.............

Sporties were set up this way for oval track racing similar to Britt bikes, the aftermarket stepped up with kits to change the shifter and brake pedals
1974 was the last year of rs shifters on Sportsters

Interesting stuff....didn't know that...I have a 1975 T500M Suzuki, and they have a swappable gear shift/rear brake pedal so you can select left or right foot shift. Will get some pictures tomorrow.........

The gear shaft runs right through the crankcase and is splined at both ends to take the gearshift lever...right change or left change..it's protected at one end by a rubber bung.
