timing?

I got a 99 roadking EFI twincam 88, my question is can I adjust the timing without a SERT or compatable device? I can't find anything in my manual about adjusting the timing.

Glider would probably be better suited to answer, but, I believe the ignition profile is a module controlled setting and would require a SERT or aftermarket device to customize.

The TC's have the timing parameters in the map in the ECM. Only way to change them is with the addition of a tuner. (PCIII/SERT etc)

Thanks guys that is what I expected to hear, makes no sense to me to have to spend that kind of cash to tune my bike.
