swirl marks on pipes

First I would like to say hello to everyone I am new here. I own a 2006 Ultra Classic and I noticed that when cleaning my pipes with chrome cleaner that I got very fine swirl marks on the pipes. I attribute this to a very fine dust within the chrome.

I would like to know if anyone out there knows how to get these swirl marks out of the chrome. I washed the bike before polishing so it isn't dirt.

Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Once chrome is marked, it's marked forever. The chromium is only a few mils thick and it doesn't take much polishing to go through it to the nickle underneath it.

Thanks Glider I was afraid of that. It really isn't bad but I know it is there. Guess that give me a good excuse to get new pipes..
