Stock Air Cleaner or upgrade to SE or Arlen Ness?

Some backing plates give you a different head venting system. The ness has a bit smaller port than the SE unit which can restrict venting a bit.
I have seen stock backing drilled like you mentioned but remember that the holes you are drilling will pull in the heated air from near the cylinders as opposed from a cooler area with the replacement stage1 units.

K&N filter is ready.
pipes are done.. V&H long shots.
just waiting on the TFI to come.

Will keep stock cover etc., was curious about the extra holes in the backing plate.

Obviously to get more air to the filter, but where did you see them drilled ?

under the air intake 'box' opening ?
over it?
in behind the backing plate?


Next question is does it work ?
