The book says to check the stator resistance with an ohmmeter set on the RX1 scale. My meters ohm settings are 200, 2000, 20K, 200K, and 2000K. Which is the RX1 scale?

The RX1 scale is 1000 ohm scale on the meter, If it doesn't have the 1000 ohm or RX1 or even RX1K setting on the meter use your 2000 ohm setting. it will just be less responsive ( half as much) than if you used the 1000 setting.

If you have access to a digital meter, it's much easier to work with.

I have a digital meter with several scales including DC V, AC V, DC A, and OHMS. It has 200, 2000, 20K, 200K, and 2000K on the OHMS scale so I'll try the 2000 ohm setting. Thanks!
