starter keeps engaging

Hey guys, I was out on a ride and my starter was engaging whenever I pulled in the clutch. Didnt do it while riding down the road. Any suggestions ? Im thinking maybe its the starter button shorting out ? Anybody have this happen to them ? Is it an easy fix to replace the button ?

It may be the starter button on your handlebar is sticking in, try pulling it out with a small pair of plyers after starting. The other thing could be that the starter solenoid is sticking. Give it a couple of taps with the handle end of a hammer that should release it. If it is the button on the bars take the switch assembly apart and clean it thoroughly making sure nothing is binding. The solenoid you can take apart as well, clean it and make sure there is no rust on the plunger or cylinder.
