Sportster Odometer Question

I purchased a trailing system for my 07 Sporters 1200 that lifts the front wheel off the ground and hauls the bike on it's rear tire. The manufacturer says most motorcycles have their odometer feed located on the front wheel, therefore trailing won't add milage to the odometer. However, I do not see any cables going from the front wheel hub to the odometer. Is the feed located in the rear wheel or in the transmission? If in the transmission, does trailing the bike in neutral add miles to the odometer? Thanks in advance.

It's not gonna add miles to the odometer, but it's add miles to the rear tire. $$$$
