slight backfiring

just installed a thunderslide kit and ness big sucker on my 92 evo performance is great but there is a slight backfire on deceleration i didnt change any jets just the slide and fuel nozzle by reading the self help forum near as i can tell may be a jetting issue hate to start messing with them cause it runs great be will it hurt the bike with that backfiring thanks

Did you do any mods in additon to the Ness big sucker Air Cleaner? i.e. put on Slip-ON mufflers? The increased air flow may cause some back firing, but the Thunderslide Kit may be affecting the 1/3 to 2/3 throttle response based on the info on this hyperlink:
