I have a 1999 Heritage Softail Classic and it wouldn't start a couple times so charged battery and it started for a few times. Now today I was riding today and it started running rough speedo quit at 48 mph and digital mileage quit. I was close to home and when I got there the lights were very dim and was still running rough. Put charger on it speedo went nack to zero and digital mileage is back up. Started it and it seems to be running ok again? I really don't know electrical on this bike so can anyone diagnose this issue and let me now what you think. Thanks!

Look here, charge your battery full 12.7 volts first
Look close at stator plug for oil leaks and good connection
