As it sits:
2005 1200c Stock

Gathering parts:
V&H short shot staggered
intake (thinking screaming eagle....but I open for suggestions!!! please send them)
new jets

SO I've been through dozens of pages for rejetting with a myriad of factual suggestions and I'm betting Glider will jump in and set me straight, lol.

Firstly, I'll gather ALL parts and putting them on TOGETHER.
I know I need a 46 low, 2 #4 washers for the needle....

what size main jet?

From what I've read 190 is stock but I've seen everything from 180-195 suggestions.

I want to ensure I've got what I need so when I plop my butt down in the garage with the parts and a 12 pack I emerge in several hours happy and ready to roll

190 should get you there but do thins and see for yourself...

Quick and easy way of testing the main jet size.

Run the bike through the gears into third gear and run third up to 60-70 MPH full throttle, then chop the throttle about 1/8 to 1/4 back and see if the bike either surges ahead or stumbles then recovers.

If it surges ahead, your jetting is lean

If it stumbles and recovers , your jetting is rich
If it makes no difference, you're pretty close.

The rest sounds good.
