Progressive Shocks - 412 vs. 812

Are the Progressive Suspension 412s and 812s the same shock with different cosmetics? If not, what are the differences? I checked the Progressive web site, but I can't find the answer.

Looks like an over-styled drink coaster with a drain hole to me. Why you need a drain hole is beyond me.:cheers
